Larry was born in Oregon City and resided in Molalla. He spent portions of his childhood in Ohio and Alaska, but returned to Oregon and graduated from Molalla Union High School in 1991. After graduation, Larry attended Clackamas Community College where he received his Associate of Arts Degree. Larry attended Western Oregon University where he received a degree in Political Science. He then attended law school at Willamette University. He has been licensed to practice law in the state of Oregon since 2001.
Larry enjoys spending time with his family, church activities, and participating in sports during his free time. He was a volunteer coach with both YMCA and Keizer Soccer Club for four years and now has moved on to coaching at Mollala Youth Sports.
Larry has been practicing law in the state of Oregon since 2001 where he has specialized in employment law. During that time, he has represented approximately 800 clients in employment disputes, handled approximately 165 federal lawsuits and 250 state lawsuits, and handled more than 60 unemployment hearings. In the employment arena, he has represented clients in cases regarding sexual harassment, retaliation, hostile work environment, assault, battery, age discrimination, gender discrimination, disability discrimination, rehabilitation act discrimination, pregnancy discrimination, religious discrimination, race discrimination, national origin discrimination, sexual orientation discrimination, injured worker discrimination, whistleblowing claims, civil rights violations, wrongful discharge, emotional distress, violations of non-competition agreements, wage claims, intentional interference with economic relations, negligence, battery, negligent retention, violations of the Family and Medical Leave Act, and violations of the Oregon Family Leave Act. He has also represented clients on separation agreements and severance agreements, and general counsel on dealing with difficult working environment. He has represented clients at trial and appellate courts in both the Oregon Court of Appeals and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
In the administrative context, he has represented clients in unemployment hearings and Employment Relations Board hearings.
