The Law Office of Larry L. Linder, LLC handles all types of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and civil rights matters.  The firm also provides general legal counsel and advice to employees. The firm represents employees throughout the state of Oregon who work for private employers and public employers (employees that work for cities, counties, the state of Oregon, and the federal government). The types of claims the firm has experience in handling are more fully explained below.

  • Discrimination: The firm represents clients in discrimination claims that include Injured Worker, Sex, Gender, Pregnancy, Age, National Origin, Race, Disability, Religion, Sexual Orientation, Sick Leave, Medical Leave, Domestic Violence Victim, and various other forms of discrimination.
  • Harassment: The firm represents clients in harassment claims that include Injured Worker, Sex, Gender, Pregnancy, Age, National Origin, Race, Disability, Religion, Sexual Orientation, Sick Leave, Medical Leave and various other forms of harassment.
  • Retaliation: The firm represents clients in claims where they have been retaliated for opposing various unlawful practices.  The unlawful practices can be any form of discrimination or harassment listed above.
  • Disability: The firm represents clients in claims of failure to engage in the interactive process, failure to accommodate, treated disabled employees worse than other employees, and retaliation for requesting accommodations.
  • Whistleblowing (Private Employer): The firm represents employees of private employers in claims of Whistleblowing.  Claims of Whistleblowing include being discharged, demoted, suspended, or discriminated against in other ways for reporting information that the employee believes is evidence of a violation of a state or federal law, rule or regulation.
  • Whistleblowing (Public Employer):  The firm represents employees of public employers where they are disciplined, terminated, discouraged, restrained, dissuaded, coerced, prevented or otherwise interfered with when disclosing what they believe is evidence of a violation of any federal or state law, rule or regulation, or what they believe is mismanagement, gross waste of funds or abuse of authority.
  • Wrongful Discharge:  The firm represents employees who were wrongfully discharged from their employment when the employee has engaged in an employment related right or performed something the employee has a societal obligation to perform.
  • Civil Rights:  The firm represents clients in all forms of civil rights claims for both citizens and employees.  These claims include violations of due process, violations of equal protections, and excessive force.
  • Administrative:  The firm represents employees in various administrative matters including Employment Relations Board matters, unemployment hearings, and Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries complaints.
  • Wage Claims:  The firm represents employees in wages claim including, failure to pay minimum wage, failure to pay for all hours worked, failure to pay overtime, and retaliation for requesting wages due.
  • General Counsel:  The firm provides general counsel to employees by developing plans to deal with difficult work situations and representation at employer investigations.
